Do you think Halloween shopping is as crazy or crazier than other holiday shopping?  We were out tonight at Porter Ranch and it was pretty crazy.  There were a lot of people in the stores and a lot cars were going really  fast through the parking lot.   It almost seemed like end of  year holiday shopping.  The cold made it seem even more.   What do you think?

I think it does. Already stores are filled with Christmas Decorations. I feel rushed! I started buying gifts and planning the decorating, meals and etc...

Ekkk! It comes faster than we think.

That "now I can relax" thought/feeling lasts for about a day.  Then we start thinking and planning on the next big day/event/holiday.  It seems like it's that way year round.  For example right after New Year's the stores put out Valentine's Day merchandise and right after that they put out St. Patricks Day, Easter and spring things.  We don't get a break from being rushed to buy things for every possible holiday.  What do you think?

I think it is rushed WAY too much!  I agree with you.  On Halloween we were watching TV and saw a commercial with Christmas decorations in it.

Growing up we did not put up the Christmas decoration until the day after Thanksgiving.  I try to keep that tradition in my family.  I tell my kids to not even say the word until the day after Thanksgiving.

I haven't started my shopping but I will within the next few weeks!... I start early!... some of the early sales are some of the best!

I agree.. the craziness has begun!  ... parking has gotten packed at the malls!

It's so funny b/c last year this time I was DONE w/my holiday shopping.  I wanted to spread it out so that we weren't spending money all at once.  This year we are so financially strapped we decided that there will only be gifts for the kids, teachers, co-workers (where necessary) and that's it.  We are going to talk to my BIL & SIL about forgoing buying gifts for each others kids b/c of the budget situation.  Having said that I am starting to watch sales VERY closely now that Halloween is over b/c sometimes there are great deals even before Thanksgiving.

However, I do agree the fact that there are Christmas commercials and holiday decorations out in the stores really bothers me.

A few years ago I started to do most of my shopping online. It works for me, I beat the parking nightmares and rude people in the store. I find pretty good deals and try to find reasonable to free shipping offers.
